Quick and Easy Watercolor Wonder Cards

Good morning, it's Diana.  I don't know about you but I'm constantly on the go, between work, school, kids activities, stamping events, and race training I don't really have much time to sit still and just be.  I have also made a goal this year to work on actually sending out cards to friends and family for occasions, and just because to help spread the joy and love but am frequently rushed for time.  So I was really excited when I saw the new Watercolor Wonder suite of products in this years Occasions catalog, I knew they would be perfect for making quick and easy cards for any occasion that are absolutely stunning, using the Watercolor Wonder Designer Note cards as the base.  These note cards are perfect since they come as a set with envelopes with the cardbases already designed and just waiting to be accessorized.  I was able to make all these cards in a snap and for each of the cards I used products from the Watercolor Wonder Product Suite a the key elements and have listed the items used in each card below.

Stamp Set(s):  Happy Watercolor, Remembering Your Birthday
Cardstock:  Smoky Slate, Island Indigo
Ink:  Tangerine Tango, Island Indigo
Accessories:  Ovals Collection Framelits, Fancy Fans Embossing Folder, Mini Metallic Clothespins, Silver Baker's Twine

Stamp Set(s):  Happy Watercolor, Million & One
Cardstock:  Tangerine Tango
Ink:  Tangerine Tango, Island Indigo
Accessories:  Pearls, Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die

Stamp Set(s):  Happy Watercolor
Cardstock: Whisper White, Smoky Slate, Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Smoky Slate, Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight
Accessories:  Rhinestones, Ovals Collection Framelits, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, Daffodil Delight 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon

I have to say, I really like how these note cards turned out and they would make an equally great gift and since there note cards come in a set of 20 you could make a huge supply of cards and gifts in little time, perfect for those of us on the go.  Don't forget Sale-a-bration is ending at the end of the month so you only have a few more days to take advantage of this sale and you can purchase the products used in these samples and be on your way to earning FREE product.  Ask me how I can help you save!

Have a great day and enjoy!

Reinkers and Embossing

Hello and welcome to SSINKspiration! I am Tonya and I have a fun techniqu:e to share with you today. First let me say that this is not my own creation I found the Watercolor Stamping with Embossing here but I wanted to share my creations. You will need Reinkers, a Window Sheet, stamp that has a line art image such as the ones below, Embossing Powder and Versamark. Let me give you a quick run down of the technique.
Step 1: Create your palette with the reinkers on the window sheet then mist it with water so that it creates a stamp pad to ink your image.
Step 2: Ink your image with your reinker palette.
Step 3: Stamp your image onto your Whisper White letting it set for a couple of seconds so that the ink absorbs into the paper. It will be blurry and that is fine. Let it dry
Step 4: Stamp your image on with the Stamp-a-ma-jig using Versamark and slightly off setting the image from the original then heat emboss with White Embossing Powder.
I used the Regarding Dahlias Stamp Set and the Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set on the card above with Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango and Strawberry Slush for Reinkers. On the second card below I used the Swallowtail Stamp Set and Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding and Summer Starfruit for Reinkers.

If you have any questions please let me know and I will be happy to help. Have a great day and don't forget to pin it if you love it. Tonya

Quick & Easy Gift Card Holder

Hi! Darcy here from Dj's Stampin' Place. Today I created a gift card holder that is quick to make and saves you from having to say, "here's a gift card;" while just handing them a piece of plastic.

Do you want to see the inside?

I'm making these for college students, so I wanted to keep it simple, and not too time consuming because I'm certain the only important piece to them is the actual gift card! I felt that Gorgeous Grunge was the perfect stamp set to use as a background. I did some tone-on-tone stamping with the Tangerine Tango ink. I left the spot next to the thank you stamp blank so I could sign my name.

I created a tutorial, so you can create these as well. You will want to start with a 4-1/4" x 8-1/4" piece of cardstock. Score it at 1-3/8", 2-3/4", and 5-1/2".

After I scored it, I flipped it to the backside, and lined my gift card up along the 1-3/8" score line. I used a pen to mark the edges of the gift card, so I would know where to cut the slit. I then placed the score line along the groove of my paper trimmer, and lined the cutting blade up with the first pen mark and carefully cut down to my other pen mark.

Next I put sticky strip along the very bottom and edges of this flap to glue it together. The reason I put it along the edges was to make sure my gift card would have room to slip inside.

Here is a side view once I glued the flap down.

The great thing about these is that you can make them as clean and simple, or as embellished as you want. They would look great with Designer Series paper layered on them as well!

Watercolor Wednesday

Didn't you love to paint with water colors when you were younger?  It was always a special treat when the teacher brought out those colorful little trays of paint, a tiny cup of water and a paint brush.  This spring, Stampin' Up! has brought those memories back to us!  From the beautiful Watercolor Wonder Designer Notecards & Envelopes and the Watercolor Wonder DSP, to stamp sets like Happy Watercolor and Life in the Forest (and a million other stamps sets that are just begging to be watercolored!), we can all feel like we're back in school with our paint and paint brushes.

Take a look at these gorgeous creations from some of our Design Team!
