I am pretty sure this is something that any mother can relate to and we hope any child will feel.  A mother loves like no other and it's always nice to show here just how much we love her, especially on Mother's Day.

Storage Solutions

Storage Solutions make crafting so much easier because everything has a place and when returned to that place it is easier to create. I know as a stamper I am always changing up how my supplies, whether is is punches, Big Shot items, or inks and markers, are stored and today our designers have some great ideas that just might make your workspace a little nicer. Shellie's Shimmer Ink Tutorial

Hello Everyone! It's Shellie from Craft Smashup. Today I have a short tutorial for you. 

Do you like the shimmer of the Gold and Silver Encore Inks but sometimes wish they had some added color?  While playing around with my inks sometime before Christmas, I discovered that you could get a wonderful mottled shimmery look and color all at once.

Here is my finished Card. At the end of the tutorial is a closeup of the sentiment and a color sample chart using 10 different colors, each with the Gold and Silver inks.

I love the color combination of Rich Razzleberry, Coastal Cabana & Hello Honey

Stamp Set ~ Birthday Surprise

Accessories: Washi Tape, Gold 1/8" ribbon, Gold Encore Ink

You'll need to gather the following items...

Re-inkers, Metallic ink pad, baby wipes, stamp set

A nice close up view of the shimmer.

Overhead shot of the color chart. You can see how the gold and silver appear change the color of the ink.

Tried a picture at an angle in an attempt to make it easier to see the shimmer better

Recycling Christmas

Deck the House with Shellie

Hello Everyone! This is Shellie from Craft Smashup. I had such wonderful plans to do a show and tell of my creative space today but due to some glitches in life that happen to all of us every now and then, we have been unable to get the studio finished. We are SO close, it's killing me not to have it done.

Anyhow, in lieu of pictures of my studio, I have decided to share a few pictures of some of the humble decorations I made to decorate the house and add a little Christmas cheer. The star framelits are, well.... the star of the show :)

I made about a dozen of these star ornaments to put on my tree.

The space above my large living room windows seemed so sad without adornment that I decided to cut a bunch of stars from Stampin' Up's! fabulous Glimmer Paper. This photo doesn't do the sparkle justice. The lighting in my living room is not great and it was challenging to get a photo that looks this good.

Our general decorating theme this year is  red, white, gold and silver. I decided that instead of our angel, I wanted a star tree topper to coordinate with the rest of the theme. I'd share a picture of the whole tree but after more than a dozen attempts at snapping a photo I couldn't get a single clear one and I gave up. Maybe I can try again during daylight hours and share it on my blog in a  few days or so. 

I hope each and every one of you have a wonderful Christmas and that you get to spend it with family and or friends. Eat, drink and Be Merry! But most of all share the love.
