Burlap, Stars and Stripes by Bree

Hello Stylin' Stampin' friends!  Bree from Craft-somnia Mommahere today to INKspire you with a festive 4th of July wreath.  I love burlap and have made a wreath for just about every season with burlap...you might say I have an addiction!  But, I just couldn't resist myself when I came across this fun patriotic burlap a few weeks ago!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Night of Navy, Real Red, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper, Brights DSP Stack, Window Sheet
Ink ~ Night of Navy, Real Red
Stamp Set ~ June Paper Pumkin
Other Supplies ~ Silver 1/8" Ribbon, Stars Framelits, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, 1/2" Circle Punch, Burlap Ribbon, Wire Wreath Form

Below are the instructions on how I created this wreath:
Knot one end of the burlap on the backside of the wire wreath form.  I find using burlap ribbon that is at least 5" wide works best for these wreaths.

Weave the burlap ribbon in and out of the wires, pulling sections up to create the "puffy" loops.  Once you have filled the entire wreath form, add it smaller pieces of the printed burlap.

Using the Stars Framelits, cut out various sizes of stars and layer in the pattern of your choice.  For the center star, I used the largest Star Framelit and cut a Night of Navy piece.  I cut the center out using a smaller Star Framelit and created a shaker frame using the Window Sheet and punched out confetti.  Using the largest Star Framelit, I cut out a piece of the Real Red DSP and scored each and folded each point to create the 3-D effect.  I've included a close up picture below:
This really was a fun and very easy wreath to make!  And I will happily display it on Memorial Day and Labor Day as well!

Thank you for visiting today!  I hope I've INKspired you to create something fun and patriotic!

  1. You did a great job with your wreath. Love the added star banner across the front! I still need to make myself one. For some reason, I make them and give them away!?!
