Hi Everyone! Kim here! It's our first Individual Post on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration blog. Each month everyone on our design team will have a little time to shine and let us know what they have been working on lately. So here I go!
My Digital Studio (MDS) is such a fun program! It can be used to digitally scrapbook or make cards. There are also a few other items that you can make with the program and have Stampin' Up! print for you: Calendars, Photo Books, Framed Home Decor and more!
I used My Digital Studio this weekend to decorate for my son's 2nd birthday party! And I have to tell you that I had so much fun!
I used the Bday Under Construction Ensemble. See how cute this is...
Here is the Hybrid (part digital, part traditional) card I made my little Noah Man. I printed out the dump truck and 2 on my personal printer using My Digital Studio. One of the great things about MDS is that you can size your images to be however big or small you want! I knew which circle punches I wanted to use, so I just sized my images accordingly!
Supplies Used
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie
DSP: Neutrals Stack
Punches: 2-1/2" Circle, 1-3/4" Circle
Embellishments: Chevron Ribbon - Smokey Slate, Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon - Basic Gray, Candy Dots - Brights, Candy Dots Brad Bases
Adhesives: Snail, Dimensionals
I also used this Ensemble to print off a lot of fun party signs...
"Birthday In Progress" and "Attention All Workers Report for Duty" were on the front door.
"Caution" signs on the mirror. I also created the "2" pennant banners using MDS!
Here are close ups of the 2 signs on the fireplace...
I think this one is my favorite!
I printed a few random signs to stick on doors and walls..."Warning" and "Caution".
These little "Dig In" circles were on the cabinets above the counter where we had all of the food buffet style!
"Thirst Quencher" on the fridge where you could get some water!
Then I used MDS to create all of the images on the circle confetti. There were road cones, construction vehicles and lots of 2s!
Here is a close up of the cake because you know you wanted to see it! I'm pretty proud of it because I always mess up circle layer cakes...but you can't mess this one up because it's supposed to be messy! YAY!
And here's a little peek at my Noah Man blowing out his candle for the 4th time. Yes...he wanted to keep doing it, "Again". I think he would have kept going all night if we let him!
My last picture is of the back of the card my 4 year old daughter made for Noah. The front isn't all current Stampin' Up! but I wanted to show you these ribbons that she paired together as an embellishment for the back of her card! Who would have thought to decorate the back?!
I love the new Burlap ribbon with the stitched satin and grosgrain ribbons. So pretty!
If you haven't tried My Digital Studio, you can always get a free 30 day trial. Just visit the personal website of your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator or choose one of the Design Team Members from this blog (because we are all demonstrators!). And if you want to go ahead and get the full program, it's only $19.95 USD.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask and we will see you back here tomorrow for some more fun!
I love all the fun party elements Kim, what a fun birthday. I'm sure the birthday boy and all his friends had a great time!

What a fantastic job you did of creating the party decor. I loved doing stuff like this when my kids were younger. Too bad I didn't have MDS back then. The kids are all too old for this kind of stuff now but maybe I'll have grand-kids one day that I can make things like this for.
ReplyDeleteWow! What an awesome job! I love all of the party ideas! My nephew would have loved that at that age! Thanks for sharing!
